My Friend and I

Original Composition by Shiela Zaldivar

My friend and I, we dwell apart
He on the north, I on the south
His place is happy as can be,
But mind is sad for there’s just me.

The truth he sees and understands
While it slips through my human hands.
And through the day to God he prays,
While I Live on my sinly ways.

My friend and I, we dwell apart
He on the North, I on the South.
In the opposite we do lie,

And so it shall be when we die.
